Spring Favourites

Hello Everybody!

Spring is scarily pretty much over (how quick did that go). As you know I would fail spectacularly at keeping up with monthly favourites so instead do seasonal favourites.

Here are my favourite things from spring :) - see my winter favourites here.

Mac pressed pigment in deeply dashing

This eyeshadow is really easy to wear and I have been wearing it on its own a lot over spring (even though it barely looks like I've touched it in the picture haha). It is a beautiful shimmery brown and I love it! See what it looks like in my makeup look here.

MAC Hue Lipstick

This is a pretty neutral lipstick that I have been wearing non-stop this spring. The finish is glossy and feels so light on the lips. It suits my pale completion really well. MAC lipsticks smell amazing too by the way.

Real Techniques buffing brush

I mentioned this in my brush collection post, and I am still loving it. This brush makes blending in foundation a breeze and leaves no streaks. It is great.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

I really need to stop going on about it, but the more i use this product the more I love it! As you know I have already re-purchased it and will definitely need to again next season at this rate haha. (review here)

Body ship honey bronzer

I really love this bronzer. It is a pretty colour and you can build the intensity up gradually and is not really orange which is great for pale skin. Because I am super pale I don't put much on which is why it looks almost new in the photo! This product is going to last me ages.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

I was actually meant to review this on my blog but completely forgot to! (Never mind, everyone else has). This is the first high end mascara I have ever bought and it definitely lives up to all the hype it has been getting. My eyelashes looked so long and thick after using this and I actually noticed a huge difference compared to my drugstore ones. Would highly recommend!

My White Converses

These look completely ruined but they are still wearable haha. I love converses and I wear either these ones or my black ones every day. They are one of my wardrobe staples!

Sam Smith's Album

I feel I may have been a bit late to the party with this one but early in spring I finally bought 'In The Lonely Hour' by Sam Smith. It is amazing and I don't think I will ever get bored of it.

What have you been loving this spring?

A Little Life Update

Hello Everybody!

Apart from scheduling my usual Friday posts, I haven't really been very active in the blogging world recently (so I am sorry for being slow with replying to comments and visiting your blogs). I thought I would update you of what has been happening in my life recently to hopefully explain some things.

Exam Stress

This is the main thing that has been on my mind for the past month. Taking all 4 subjects to A2 seemed like a good idea but recently I have been crumbling under the pressure. I am so stressed and am starting to think that getting the required AAB for my university choice is an impossible task. If you are not from the UK then I am talking about A levels which are living hell. I am so stressed that I am making myself ill and not doing any revision! If in the next few weeks I don't post anything then this is the reason. I will try though. My exams are completely over on the 17th June and I cannot wait!

S Club 7

I took a break from my non-existent revision last week to go to my childhood favourite S Club 7 in concert. I had so much fun and I've never seen such energetic dancing from the whole crowd haha! It was actually such a workout and such a laugh.

New Instagram account

I know some of you already follow me on Instagram but I was getting annoyed at how messy it looked (blogger problems haha! got to get that theme right!) and also just wanted a separate account to post photos related to my blog. If you could follow it I would be grateful and if you want me to follow you back, leave your username in the comment section here. My new user is phoebesdiaries (my other 'personal' one is phoebedaviess if anyone is interested).

My mum's birthday

For her birthday we went out for a meal which is what we do whenever one of us has a birthday. We went to a local "posh pub" and we go their pretty much every year, she loves it so much. The food is amazing and it is probably the best restaurant where we live.

Summer Planning

Me and two of my friends have booked tickets for the Friday of Reading Festival which I am very excited about. I am also planning on going to Brighton, seeing Matilda at the theatre and visiting the place where Broadchurch was set over the summer.

What have you been up to recently?

Huge John Lewis Haul | Part 2 (I need help)

Hello Everybody!

To be honest I'm starting to be kind of glad my discount has now run out as I spend way to much money in this place, but this is the last one I promise.

Read the last haul here, before this one.

MAC Creme Cup

This is a very popular light pink colour and I am so excited to wear it. link

MAC Syrup

I have tried this on once and oh my god, I am already head over heels in love with this lipstick. This is certainly "my lips but better" (see my lips natural colour here) and I couldn't be more happy. I am planning to do lipstick swatches of all my MAC lipsticks on my blog soon :). link

MAC 217 brush

As you would have seen from my makeup brush collection, I already own one of these! I can't really believe I bought another one, but I really wanted to get one while I still have my discount as it is my favourite eyeshadow brush. Having two will be handy as well as it will (hopefully) result in a better blended finish. link

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye

I know, I know I just bought the Clinique eye cream! But this little pricey product has had rave reviews, and Kathleen Lights on youtube finally persuaded me to get it, so I needed it with 25% off! I'm super excited to be using this and write a detailed review for you guys and see if it helps improve the dark circles under my eyes. link

YSL Le Teint Touche Elat foundation

This is another product I have seen all over youtube (a small-ish youtuber/blogger Meg Says uses it, check out her videos here they are great). It is always a risk buying foundation online but I just went for it and ordered the lightest colour. If it is too dark I can always slap on the fake tan and use it in the summer ;). link

I think I need to go on a spending ban!

Huge John Lewis Haul | Part 1

Hello Everybody!

As mentioned in this post, I wanted to do one last haul in John Lewis before my staff discount ran out. So that is exactly what I have done. And I got a lot haha (oh god, please no one work out how much I spent!)

These are the things I have bought and you can pretty much guarantee I will review almost all of these on my blog at some point in the near future.

Clinique All About The Eyes

I had heard about this before and wanted to start having a proper skincare routine. I have never bought anything from Clinique before so I am excited to give this a try. link

St Tropez Gradual Tan

I held it upside down haha!

As you all know, I am very pale but have never ever used a fake tan (I just blinded everyone during the summer months with my light reflecting body lol). This one had loads of reviews saying either that it didn't do anything or that it was subtle. This sounded perfect for me as I want a tan to look natural as I feel anything else would look ridiculous against my red hair colour. I bought the one for your body and the one for your face (wish me luck haha). link link

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish 200ml

As you know, I reviewed this on my blog (see it here) and am now totally in love with it. I knew that I would eventually repurchase it so thought I might as well buy a bigger size now with my discount. This is a larger size and does not come with any muslin cloths so I would recommend the starter pack for those new to this product. link

MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer

My two collection concealers are running low so I bought this concealer. I am looking forward to see how it copes with my terrible dark circles. link

Olivia Burton Watch

This is my favourite brand of watch and I have mentioned them a few times on my blog. The watch I wear everyday is my favourite thing ever but the colours are more wintery so I thought I would get another more "summery" one. I am in love with the rose gold and the write strap with snakeskin detail. Money well spent! (in my opinion haha). It started sliding out the box when I took this photo haha. link

Caroline Gardner 3 A5 notebooks

I am one of those people who just loves to buy stationery and I just had to get these. I absolutely love this designer's range, everything is super cute. link

Measuring Cups

I read a lot of recipe blogs and they often have the measurements in cups which is not the standard in the UK. These come in lovely colours and would be really handy for all the baking I want to do soon. link

All the links are to the products on the John Lewis website as this is where I bought them from, but there are loads of places you can buy these products :)
